Wow, I’m late for posting this one – didn’t realize Dec arrived so soon after Thanksgiving! Except for stitching stars for the buttons, I stuck to the pattern for this one. Happy Holidays to one & all.

I think you did a great job interpreting the disign. What did you put in the center of the vase to give it the lift?

Comment by Ro Pace December 13, 2010 @ 2:15 pmHi Ro, It’s a pin. I’ll find a pin at flea markets & then put it into a piece of needlepoint. My grand idea is that you can remove the pin, wear it (leaving a piece of needlepoint that looks complete without the pin as it is worn), & then replace it afterwards & continue to display your favorite jewelry. I call it “Pinsations”. You can see others of this types under the heading Pinsations, Madam Carina (was at 2010 ANG Seminar – lady with the black hat & pearl/gold earring), Cypress Tree, Vases 1-4, Crosses, Fish Bowl, Butterfly Baskets, & Love. I still have to send you my blending of a Jessica with needleweaving! Looking forward to 2011 SOTM too.
