Circle in a Square

I used Jean Hilton’s Stimulating Stitches to put together a matching design to Pat Mazu’s Diamond in a Square which will go into a pair of bookends. Many of Jean Hilton stitches would work fantastic for this thread effect.
The main design in the upper left corner shows 4 plaited rays radiating around the corners which left room for a Jessica circle with Rhodes stitch in the center. And, I was able to fit 3 butterfly double fans into each of the columns.

Beautiful work and colors. I once did a bargello with that combination of blues-beiges-tan. Still have it—-was in wool
Pat Mazu is a tremendous person as well as designer. My EGA chpt had her on two occasions to teach classes. She stayed at my house and we had a great time.
Her work is awesome.

Thanks, Yes, Pat is very nice although I have not had the pleasure of meeting her. Maybe someday. It’s great when the teacher can stay with a member – cozy for them & cost savings for a chapter. Melita
