Monogrammed Purse

Did some spring cleaning today in the closet & found this purse that I did in the 70s for myself. I used it a lot then. It probably was a kit but don’t know from where. I stitched it using continental & that caused the misalignment. I should have used the tent stitch!

How nice—–and are you using it now—-or is it still a ‘closet piece’ waiting for that special occasion? I have a couple of knit bags and quilt bags that if I ‘think’ about it—I change.
Enjoy Carol
Comment by carol whitton May 22, 2011 @ 6:34 amHi Carol & Rachel, I could still use it but haven’t b/c it isn’t my style currently. I like small purses with compartments – one that has a built in wallet/photo section & few zippered areas. As opposed to the large area like this one has where stuff gets all jumbled. But I will keep it b/c I could change my mind about what I like in purses. Melita

Comment by Rachel May 22, 2011 @ 8:11 amSo good to see your purse. I recently found one my mother stitched; a kit from J.L.T.No.A14 Town and Country Look, also stitched in continental and quite out of shape. Have handles also. Would love to have someone finish it for me.
