Coaster Painted

It didn’t take long until I needed to use the Oops paint! A tan jar filled with a tan paint to match the canvas. No wonder she gave us the most of that color.

If you look hard hard enough, you can see where I covered the yellow.

But, once I painted the correct colors, you can’t even tell at all.

That wasn’t as tough as I thought it would be. And, only took 2 and 1/2 hours of painting time (I took breaks). And, while I took breaks from painting, I went back to the graph paper – my 18 count graph paper and transferred the design there. But, more on that later.

Looks like perfect lines to me. Great first experience, Melita. What kind of brush do you use?

Thanks Sue. The brushes are CraftSmart in various sizes 30/0 (smallest), 5/0, 1/4″, and 10 (largest). Good question.

Dear Melita – your blog is inspirational! I was looking back at all your posts and found one from 26 Dec 2011 which showed 12 Needleform gold n cross Christmas ornaments. I found & bought the ‘peace dove surrounded by the wreath’ gold decoration on Ebay which I would love to do as per the booklet (with the words Peace round) but do not have a chart showing that design. i just wondered if you still had the chart and could email me a copy? I know it’s a long shot but i’m desperate as I am trying to recreate the one i did 40 years ago which i bought when I was visiting my father who was working in the USA and which i gave as a gift so no longer have it. Any help would be much appreciated. Hope you are all keeping safe and well. Kind regards Fiona

Thanks Fiona. I will take a look. More than likely, if I don’t find it, I can probably duplicate it for you.

I don’t have the Peace ornament. That page you see was an advertisement for the collection of 12 ornaments that came with the individual ornaments. But, I believe that I correctly diagrammed it and the colors are the same used in the Christmas tree ornament. I sent a diagram for you to follow that should work. Let me know if it doesn’t.
